  • A peaceful, family-friendly and god approved solution to rebalance

Dear Nexon and most importantly dear angry customers, a.k.a. players,

It has come to my conclusion, that both above mentioned side need a neutral arbitrage to help with the communication between them, and here I am! Not all heroes wear capes, you know. :P

I find the rebalance absolutely gorgeous. If we compare the 5 stars in battle to the ierarchy of life - deep below we have the poor guys and gals at 1-2 stars, mediocre families at 3-4 stars, and the elite young money cash money bussiness owners at 5 stars. But what does that mean? It means that neither 5 stars nor $$$ in life should be taken for granted and one must work really hard in order to get to that level.

Now, if you are a coach potato, a lazy person that wants everything out of life without putting the work - it wont really happen now, would it? You want to 5 star a tough base without doing howie dmg/hp in uni or corresponding skills to other attacking units, it wont really happen now, would it?!

I believe the game should actually be rebalanced further until 5 star victories become slightly more common than the Dodo bird. Why? Because not everybody should be able to do it, and imagine the joy of finally getting one. Even now people get them all the time and take them for granted despite numerous complains that this is an attacking game and buffing defense should not be prioritized, but here’s another angle.

An attacker, attacks no matter what. Whether he wins or loses, the eye of the tiger is important, the thrill of the fight! Rising up to the challenge of his rivals! You may score 3 stars? Well, you are not that great, but if you are, then considering rebalance changes are for everyone the enemy will score 2 stars and you win, thats if you are as good as you say :P

You say its a pay to win game? Then if you are such an intelligent strategist, you should put that brain to better use and get a new job, make more money and then come back being more competitive than ever, you can also collect cans in the street and recycle them! Not only will you make some cash, but you will also help the planet be a better place :P

If you are not so intelligent, make an attack, lose all your army and maybe then you will remember there is a life outside the game, so the rebalance may be useful in helping you socialize more in real life :P

In both cases, attackers attack, accept the results and dont whine to Nexon, because they cant get 5 stars. Who said you should get them every time in the first place?!?

P.S. I should probably apply for a position in the forum because every time I post a thread or a reply, my topics break all record for replies/views. :P

MartoBeatz can you add your level and age? Because I see some attacks of mine fail bigtime and maybe I'm a idiot that can't attack. Wondering your age alliance composition etc.. Your telling me I'm not that intelligent but what are you? I'm almost maxed Enlightment Age level 126. Road upgrades will add some levels to that I hope.

He is level 191 atomic, only does heavy tank attacks. His alliance is stilettos and he is second highest in the alliance. So a big mouth for his small alliance. Lol

Hello there Corne 😃! I created my alliance to keep it small. For the record, people could be a level 300 in top 10 alliance, yet a bad attacker still 😉

No Angel come on lol a top 10 alliance wouldnt have such a person. and if such a person moved from an alliance with, say, 35k glory to an alliance with, say, 15k glory, you can bet that person will become the top attacker AND defender for that hypothetical alliance despite his poor skills. but yeah it was unfair to have your whole alliance attacked because of corne’s resentment towards just one member of your alliance.

Corne the most important piece of info when talking about getting 5 stars is the medal range one plays in. and you left out that info. not that i want to know, just pointing it out.

          But that's another story 😊

First and foremost, thanks for taking interest into my knowledge for this game. The first advice I will give you is that 99,99% players of this game had only 1 working strategy prior rebalance that they copied from someone else, and thats why they fail now, because they lack the skills to make a strategy of their own and make changes to it when neccessary.

Now, my attacks can be seen if you visit my current alliance STILLETOS, I cant be bothered uploading them for others to see, but for your case, a simple advice would be this:

You are too high of a level to be Enlightment age. Think of it this way - more advanced nations have access to more sophisticated skills and troops. For example if you go up 1 age to Industrial you get Decoys as a war tactic and Airplanes as troops, which can support your ground troops. From what I’ve seen so far, one should rush to Industrial ASAP, by just upgrading offense stuff. When you get decoys and airplanes, you have much more control over the battlefield. At global you should get HTs for raiding in MP, at atomic you can choose whether to go HT or APC/bazooka :P

Besides, the higher you are ranked in a war roster, the higher the expectations from you (unwritten psychological rule) By focusing entirely on offense you will be ranked very low and will be able to take some serious targets, which means more personal glory and satisfaction for you.

MartoBeatz Well started playing about a year ago, doing fine on the war roster. Just enjoying the game and every age. Will only be there once.
If Nexon would wan't us rushing ages they could have skipped some.
Not that your not entirely wrong about my level/age it's just how I play this game.
The isue I have is that it became hard to attack even a age below. Your tanks might get you what you want. But the lower ages don't have them. And nobody gets to atomic without going thru the lower age's. Think allot of lower age players just give up because it's just not fun to even try to get to a higher age.

lol, exactly what I was thinking.

I wonder what MartoBeatz is on. Maybe he's just on a healthy dose of self-obsessed-over-inflated-importance, who knows? Well, at least he knows what makes him happy: people talking about him!
Either way, someone who does HT attacks is not what I would call a brilliant strategist. Really, what is so brilliant about using the one strategy that is so overwhelmingly effective that it requires no brilliance?
          Did someone say irony?
Or did someone say big fish in a small pond?

Manifesto Sometimes its good to like yourseld, then the list of people who like you greatly extends from just your parents :P

Also, here’s some food for thought. If using heavy tanks is no brilliant strategy and everyone can just put their tanks on the field and 5 star, then the game is just too easy and you guys shouldnt be complaining about the rebalance? Game is easy, you just need 6 tanks and you’re good to go :P

Have you considered not everyone has their HTs upgraded?
I've used a HT army, it was boring. I like my barracks troops. They might require more 'managing' but l find they're more fun to use.

Yes I tend to agree on that. But 5 star should be achievable for the casual player and not only for the more hardcore ones. Otherwise the game loses players and that is not good.

Now, if you are a coach potato, a lazy person that wants everything out of life without putting the work - it wont really happen now, would it? You want to 5 star a tough base without doing howie dmg/hp in uni or corresponding skills to other attacking units, it wont really happen now, would it?!

It should happen when you attack one age lower than yours. Many people struggle to do even that!

I believe the game should actually be rebalanced further until 5 star victories become slightly more common than the Dodo bird. Why? Even now people get them all the time and take them for granted despite numerous complains that this is an attacking game and buffing defense should not be prioritized, but here’s another angle.

Not 5 starring bases is morale disheartening and takes the FUN away which is the main reason we all play games. Right?

First and foremost, thanks for taking interest into my knowledge for this game. The first advice I will give you is that 99,99% players of this game had only 1 working strategy prior rebalance that they copied from someone else, and thats why they fail now, because they lack the skills to make a strategy of their own and make changes to it when neccessary.

          iirc, there were
          -shooters + howies
          -HT only
          -APC + bazookas
          -mass foot roman/german soldiers
          -french/greek tanks only
          -mass english shooters
          -varied troop mix

Creating new strategies is hard. Someone needs patience, persistence and time for tests in order to be succesfull. How can you possibly believe that everyone can do that? Obviously, there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Many people will copy a cetain succesfull troop composition and why should they not do it? I see no problem there.

Maybe you can tell us what troop combo DID YOU CREATE all by yourself then?

I think in years to come people will still be talking about the 'Napkin Wars of 2018' - Never before has a banana been wielded with such ferocity in the midst of battle.....hahaha!

But in all seriousness, I tend to agree with most of what MartoBeatz says. I just don't think name calling and insulting people's intelligence adds much to the debate. I'm too lazy to re-write my thoughts on the rebalance so I'm just going to re-post what I wrote a month ago when the rebalance debate first came up:

....I've spent a lot of time methodically building up my defences and feel that I'm finally being rewarded for the time and effort I spent

There seems to be three main arguments against this latest re-balance:
            • Some people have spent a lot of time (and money) following a specific path through this game, rushing through the ages without building up their defences, and selectively upgrading certain troops to be able to attack with only one strategy. These guys feel as though the rug has been pulled out from under their feet because now they have to go back and improve their defences and upgrade a lot of troops to be competitive - I can understand why they're angry. But when Nexon first nerfed the tactics and then introduced the silo I realised that it was better to upgrade all your tactics and troops - even the ones you don't currently use - to be ready for any eventuality
            • There are others who say that it's now impossible to take down strong CWA bases in war without spending money on troop tactics and to get the necessary diamonds and NTG's for mercenaries and coalitions, so winning wars has become even more pay-to-win. If some alliances want to spend hundreds of pounds (dollars for all you yanks) just to be at the top of the rankings in a game then that's fine by me, that's their prerogative.
            • And finally there are some saying that attacking in multiplayer has become much more difficult and the latest re-balancing update has taken all the fun out of the game. I can only speak from personal experience, but despite losing a few more troops than before, I still have no problem 5 starring bases and getting all the resources, NTG's and diamonds I need in the silver league - in the dynasty league it might be another story but that's the price you pay for climbing up the medals' table.

I think it’s pretty clear the rebalance was a huge failure. Imagine buying a smart TV and investing in apps to whatch your favorite programming. Over the years you accumulate many things you like. Then one day the tv manufacturers decide to send an update the completely check your menus, way or watching tv to the point you can’t enjoy it as you did before.

The manufactue calls all’s it an improvement however you invested in something because you liked the way it was when you invested into it. How is that fair to the buyer, or player? It’s not and hopefully your bottom line suffers enough you make it right. But likely will just develope some new game and try to not screw it up there

about that hierarchy of life comparison, poor people doing 1-2 stars, mediocre doing 3-4, elite doing 5? that is so wrong.
it should be indentured servants in copper and silver leagues, peasants in gold leagues, middle class in kingdom and empire, elite in dynasty. then everyone can do 4-5 stars
