  • Thank you Nexon, for helping me coin less

Time Tie Breaker is a gift to my wallet.

Before when we faced really tough sandbagging alliances that there was no way we could beat, meaning there was no way we could prevent them from getting a perfect score on us, we used to go all in and aim for a Stalemate.
Now there is no point, because we can never match them on time.

So no more wasted troop cards on offense. We will probably drop a little on the glory board but that is ok, we got AXP and we got more money for beer.

Thank you Nexon for helping me coin less! I am sure my kids who will inherit me some time in the future is thankful too!

probably they care more about top alliances wallets since they will use 4 cards even against bases with no single defense coal to improve their timer

in any case i know how it feels to lose the joy of (not) losing to a stronger alliance by stalemate with them, now it's history

I agree with tower, the timer is one of the worst things in the game it was discouraging before and we were all happy when it was taken away, now it is back what is the point in throwing everything at higher opponents for a stalemate then loss anyways, if the match ups were fair it would be ok.. but it is still the case of an easy war then an impossible one, at least before the timer the impossible ones you did have a chance of throwing the lot at them and have a chance of not losing glory at least, now that glory is going and you know it before war day even begins so why bother trying

We are facing Swedish Vikings with 21 atomic 2 global 1 Industrial 1 Gunpowder. We have 16 Atomic 6 global 3 industrial. Average XP, for what it is worth, is 198 to them and 181 to us. Median for them is 208, 183 for us. It's looking like it may come to the tie breaker, which is more fun for us. Currently we are averaging 2min13 with 19 bases down and they are averaging 2min29 with 15 bases down. They have our toughest bases left to clear.

What would probably be a stalemate (who knows if it will end perfect on both sides) will be a lot more fun. Oh, and that's GPA has a time of 1min18 on it so far and we aim to improve that.

And we all know how it ended Quali
... It will be a lot easier for baggers to improve times as they will have more players to clean the non-bagger top-middle a lot faster than non baggers can clean their top and middle.

I noticed you guys ended up losing this one. Did the tiebreaker come back to bite you?

Time tiebreaker is not a sandbagging issue at all. It's about who uses more cards and who has more Brit line spread players in their roster. It's kinda funny how the major proponents of time (Shred players) were the first ones to have it bite them. Karma anyone?

Yep, we lost the first one on the time breaker. Won the second one. Both were good fun.

Edit to add: up 252 glory compared to 2x stalemates if that is mattering. I'm just pleased both were fun wars.

This whole issue makes me kind of sick. All these players who previously advocated for a time tiebreaker (thinking it would end sandbagging and solve all the problems), well, appears that didn't happen and instead the time tiebreaker came with whole slew of problems.

Some people have foresight and some people do not. Those that don't should try to listen more. Those that do are probably already listening.

Also, if you are repeatedly wrong, maybe it is time for you to stop talking.
